Tournament/ this weeks conditioning.

Hey Everyone,
This is a little late, but I would like to let all of you know how the Tournament this last Sunday went: We finished the tournament with 3 wins and 1 loss. If we would have had a better spot on the bracket there is no doubt in my mind we could have come very close to taking home the trophy. but that being said the returning boys who played gave and amazing effort and did a fantastic job! I'm quite happy with the turnout.
Conditioning this week went great also, we have had very positive attendance and the kids (and parents) are doing a great job of letting me know of absences and conflicts.

On Tuesday the boys redid the Mile run times and now have a set time to work on periodically over the next few weeks. We followed that with 3 consecutive miles which the boys finished surprisingly well and under 25 mins. Also we went over cradling a bit there at the end.

Thursday night we had two new guys show up which is great. We did Sprinting, backwards runs, crunches/push up drills and every ones favorite WALL SITS!!!

Boys, keep up the good work I am very impressed with the way things are going so far.

First week of conditioning

So for anyone following this Blog right off the bat we have now completed our first week of conditioning practices at the church Tuesday and Thursday. I feel like they went very well and we were able to get a very good deal of things accomplished. Tuesday for the most part we went over a little bit of the rules for the new guys and we showed the equipment that is used day to day in a lacrosse game. Also in Tuesday we took times for every ones miles runs. Thursday we had a great turnout and focused on sprinting and footwork which also went well. The level of communication is progressing quite well and I am very pleased up until this point.

First Meeting and web site correction

The Meeting went incredibly well I feel. We had a very good showing and we will have a Very young team this year, but that is great. One thing that i will correct that i told the parents that the place to register for membership in order to get insurance was USlacrosse.com but the real address is USlacrosse.org im sorry for the mishap but hopefully most people realize the change soon. stay toon to this Blog for updates after every practice and any announcements in the future.
